Natural Hair Twist Out – Making it Last

As you guys know this site is not only about natural living, but about me growing my hair in its natural state. Here in this video I share how I take a 3 day old twist out and make it last a couple of more days. Β Having natural hair is fun because you get to play with it and try to figure out new ways of doing things, Β since all I have been used to doing is my hair in its relaxed state. I had fun making this video and many more are to come.

I hope you enjoy the video.

  1. how did you get your hair in this style? i want my hair like this. i have 4b hair and its soft, lots of fine strands (THICK), stretched its bra strap length (unstretched, as you said, it grows up and defies gravity πŸ™‚ ), and has a low tolerance for manipulation. i don’t know if it will “stick together” and stay neat like this but please let me know how you did it. i am at a point to where i literally don’t know whatΒ  to do with my hair. i used to get it warm combed and basically wear it in a ponytail. i did that for years and am so tired of it. now i no longer get it warm combed and mostly wear buns. looking for styles that require as little as possible detangling. to me it is torture LOL

    1. Β I have to say when I did the style it was with short hair, and worked better for me at that time. I just use shea butter did some mini twists not neatly parted ones however. Just made them as I went along, took them out in about a week and re-twisted for about a week at night and held down with some bobby pins. I also sprayed my hair everyday with a water and glycerin mixture everyday.
